CostumEpoque has contributed to the success of many films, among them ‘Amadeus,’ winner of the Acadamy Award for Best Costume Design for Theodor Pisteck. That Oscar came as the crowning moment for CostumEpoque in a long career begun in 1957 by Ms. Serafina Lo Faro and passed down through myriad productions during the golden years of Italian cinema.


Many, many costumers have, through the years, brought their creative genius to contribute to the artistic and professional growth of this tailor’s workshop, among them: Walter Azzini, Maria Baroni, Fiamma Bedendu, Antonella Berardi, Massimo Bolongaro, Luigi Bonanno, Paola Bonucci, Beatrice Bordone, Ornella Campanale, Alida Cappellini, Fabrizio Caracciolo, Monica Celeste, Corrado Colabucci, Claudio Cordaro, Vera Cozzolino, Marisa Crimi, Maria De Matteis, Giorgio Desideri, Danilo Donati, Nicoletta Ercole, Maria Filippi, Lorenzo Ghiglia, Bonizza Giordani Aragno, Mario Giorsi, Rosanna Grassia, Silvio Laurenzi, Giulia Mafai, Luciana Marinucci, Rosalba Menichelli, Beni Montresor, Lia Morandini, Bruna Parmisan, Walter Patriarca,Graziella Pera, Theodor Pisteck, Marisa Polidori, Enrico Sabatini, Luciano Sagoni, Itala Scandariato, and Tita Tegano.

CostumEpoque has contributed to important films such as:
"The Bible: in the Beginning…", "Barabbas", "Il Messia", “La Dolce Vita”, ”Ben Hur”, ”Cleopatra”, ”The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”, "Paganini", "Amadeus", "La Lupa", "Cristoforo Colombo", and also the more recent “King Arthur”, ”Masaniello”, ”San Francesco”, ”The Gladiator”, ”Pontormo”, "Musikanten”, ”Caravaggio”, "Antonio Guerriero di Dio" and many others.

CostumEpoque also played a part in many Italian telefilms, including:
"Le stagioni del cuore", "Le ali della vita", "Le cinque giornati di Milano", "Questa è la mia terra", "Don Gnocchi", "Santa Rita da Cascia", "Cuore", "Imperia", "Orgoglio", "Elisa di Rivombrosa", "Papa Giovanni", "La freccia nera", and "Maria Montessori".

Their work has appeared in many lyric operas,
among them notable productions of: "Simon Boccanegra", "Sleeping Beauty", "La Zelmira", "I Due Foscari", "Don Giovanni", "Così fan Tutte", and "Andrea Chenier".

Also important are the many collaborations with local town councils for the costume design of live productions, such as the Palio di Siena, Parata dei turchi, La Festa dell'assedio, Il fantastico mondo del Fantastico, Parata della contrada, and Strani tipi al castello.
